MSI just announced two 15.6 inch multimedia laptop that inspired by top-of-the-line luxury sedans, called MSI CX640 and the MSI CR640. The CX640 and CR640 multimedia notebook is based on the Intel Huron River platform with flat black case with metallic brush finish with a thermal block structural design for keeps heat away from the palm rest, MSI’s HiFre antenna design for better wireless performance and crystal diamond finish touchpad.
Both new multimedia MSI laptop has similar configuration, the difference is MSI CX640 is offer a 1GB GeForce GT 520M discrete graphics cards while MSI CR640 is offer Intel integrated graphics. Other features includes MSI’s Time Stamp for data back up and restoration with one button, SRS PC Sound, “Air tight” protection for Hard Drive for seriously damaged when dropped and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium for operating system.
For connectivity and data, the machines is support HDMI port, VGA port, Card Reader (MMC, SD/SDHC/SDXC, MS/MS Pro/HG) four USB 2.0, optional USB 3.0, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0(optional) and Gigabit LAN. Other specs includes 15.6 inch HD LED backlight display with 1366×768 pixel, a 320GB/500GB/640GB hard drive, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, DVD Super Multi, Stereo Speakers with Intel HD Audio, 1.3MP webcam and a 6-cell or 8-cell battery provide up to eight hours of battery life. Dimensions of the MSI CX640 and the MSI CR640 multimedia notebooks are 380mm x 260mm x 27.1mm~34mm with weight about 2.6KG(with 6 cells battery). There is no informations about price for CR640 version, but MSI CX640 is available now for purchase with price tag at €599 and €649 (with GeForce GT 520M).
