The CPU is a 2.3GHz i5-2410M heading above the CPU, 2.3 GHz Core i7-2820QM, costs $ 500 extra. RAM can be upgraded to 8 GB of the base of 4 GB for $ 120. The nine-cell battery that comes with our XPS 15 (an additional option for $ 40) makes a difference, a time of 4 hours and 2 minutes with our video playback test battery drain. It is a solid number for a laptop as powerful, but it's still a couple of hours of escape from the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
